George Lenton is on FIRE! Not that I’d expect anything less from one of the UK’s brightest and most talented electronic music producers. His unique take on pop songs integrates them into a new sonic realm, squeezing drops of sweet, poppy vocals in between grimey beats and filthy basslines.

Kush Arora’s latest EP is a journey through sound.  The album starts with “Humidifier”, which is a dramatic, tension heavy garage tune that progresses into tropical melodies. “Empty Alleys” wobbles hard but manages to break the mold of the standard wobbley-business that saturates the dubstep market. Apparently there are some samples thrown in from one of my favorite stoner movies as well! “Nakhil”is dark and brooding; this could be the soundtrack to entering a cave in search of some lost relic. The tune twists and winds like a cavern, as elements of percussion and vocals vie for your attention. Closing out the release, “Humidifier Jammer Club Edit” is a little slower than the first track and manages to revisit the elements of the original tune while adding new depth.

Kastle is B. Rich’s alternate musical ego. Hush House is giving away two of his remixes and I gotta say, his rendition of Bjork’s “I Miss You” is pretty fucking proper; summery, UK Funky vibes with a dubstep breakdown, sure to get movement on the floor. “You Got That Vibe” is more chillax, a slow, minimal garage beat weaves in between the dreamy melody and subtley glitched out vocals.

Marcus Nasty is one of the bigger names in the UK Funky movement and has developed quite a reputation for his fun, funky, flowing sets. This set puts me in the mood to hang out pool side with drink in hand, bass blasting and funky vibes flowing aplenty.
