As a DJ, Tom has opened for international artists such as Total Science, Black Sun Empire, A-Sides, G-Dub and SubFocus, to name a few, as well as playing regularly throughout South Florida. He is also a talented scratch DJ and has started producing tunes that are getting a bit of attention. dfb2b1

South Florida DJ’s Methodus and somejerk have combined forces to bring the first installment of Digital Felon’s Back To Back Mix series. This venture through the many sounds of dubstep reflects the dynamic that exists between their differences in flavor.

Methodus is a veteran DJ, playing everything from DrumNBass to electro, house and IDM, now venturing into the dubstep territory. His weekly radio show on Bassdrive.com that often achieves over a thousand listeners, and his name has become synonymous with clean mixing and excellent track selection. He is currently planning a number of WMC parties including the second coming of the Metalheadz vs Bassdrive party that highlighted last years conference.

somejerk is a relative new comer to the DJ game but has quickly risen in the two and a half years that he has been at it, playing all over Florida and now venturing to New York to open for 16bit and to Worcester, MA to headline Bass Embassy. Gaining a bit of notoriety for a slew of internet released dubstep mixes and releases on Filthy Digital, Insectmind and his own Digital Felon imprint, his sights are aimed to the future and ready to wreck the dance.

Free Dubstep album DF004 somejerk – Moving Forward

without comments

moving_forward-300x300.gif

I’ve been working on these tunes for about a year now and after a lot of things going on that have prevented me from finishing things up, I’ve finally become satisfied with the product. I am not really sure how I would label my style of production, but dubstep is the easiest one to apply so let’s stick with that for now.

This is a free release from my Digital Felon imprint – we have 3 other releases that are free as well and will be posted this week. We also regularly give out all of our music so if you like what you hear, hit me up cause we’ve got a ton more. We produce hiphop, dubstep, drumnbass, downtempo and more.

I hope you enjoy the music and if you do, please pass it on to someone that may enjoy as well. If you use it in a mix or play it out live, let me know how it works out.

Respect,

JohnG/somejerk
