My name is JohnG and I play many roles. I am a DJ, producer, promoter, designer and, foremost, a lover of music. I’ve been playing music for most of my life, on and off. I began producing a number of years ago and currently use a broken PC with Ableton Live and some VSTs.

I began DJing dubstep music in September, 2007 when I had a chance to open for Skream and Mala at the first dubstep event in South Florida. I eventually have found myself playing more than just dubstep, as my love for music is not isolated to one sound or genre. I also play a bit of drumnbass, jungle, garage, 2-step, house, baltimore club, electro, dub reggae, downtempo and anything else that I can cram into a set and push through a sound system. I have been fortunate enough to shared line ups with:

Skream, Mala, Joker, Joe Nice, Hatcha, Plastician, Solomonic Sound System, Trill Bass, U-Ome (Hoodz), Otto Von Schirach, Hydraulix, LTJ Bukem, Ed Rush and Optical, A-Sides, Baby Anne, Exzakt, Wreck, Hydroz (Hydraulix), Will Miles, Tha Substitutes, Juan Basshead, Atlantic Connection, Trace, Stunna, Amaning and many others from many different bass music scenes.

As a promoter, I have been responsible for many of the first dubstep events in South Florida, working with a small handful of friends that have now become known as “The Original Miami Dubstep Crew.” If you were there, you know who you are and you know how far things have come. I am proud to have been around since the birth of the movement in South Florida and am overjoyed to continue to be a part of it.
