About

My name is John W Gregory II and I was born and raised in South Florida and currently reside in Hollyhood.
DJ
I started DJing in September 2007. I primarily play dubstep but I also love playing dnb/jungle, house and all sorts of club music. I have been fortunate enough to share line ups with:
Skream, Mala, Joker, Joe Nice, 16bit, Hatcha, Plastician, A-sides, Reid Speed, Noah D, Trill Bass, U-Ome (Hoodz), Otto Von Schirach, Hydraulix, LTJ Bukem, Ed Rush and Optical, A-Sides, Baby Anne, Exzakt, Wreck, Hydroz (Hydraulix), George Young, Will Miles, Tha Substitutes, Juan Basshead, Atlantic Connection, Dieselboy, Trace, Stunna, Amaning and many others from many different bass music scenes.
Producer
I have been making beats on and off for 10 years. I started out using Cool Edit Pro, recording myself playing bass guitar and keyboard over crudely recorded drums from my father’s garage. After a few years of saving money and teaching myself production, losing computers and bits of my mind, I began taking audio production seriously in 2006, around the time I started using Ableton Live. I released my first tunes in 2008 (“Solitary” on Insectmind and “Sobriety” on Filthy Digital) and iIn 2009 I released a free 7 track “dubstep” album called Moving Forward, via Digital Felon.
Designer
I have been designing for about as long as I have been making music. A lot of the parties I have played at I have designed flyers and other promotional materials as well as designing for parties I was not playing at. I work mostly with print but also design for web and have been backwards teaching myself a little coding to get by. My portfolio is not up right now, but I will link to it when it is ready.
Digital Felon
As co-owner of Digital Felon, I work with George Young and our crew to push bass music in South Florida. We also release free tunes and have a number of mixes available on our website.
We are a collective of music producers, dj’s and emcees, a group of talented friends on a mission to push their own sounds while uplifting the whole crew at the same time. Each artist brings a unique sound and perspective to the table, with backgrounds and influences as diverse as their musical styles.
The crew was started by George Young in the early 2000’s in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and has grown over the years to include a number of active members and extended family. Collectively, we have played all of South Florida’s major cities including Miami, Hollywood, Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa, rocking small, hole in the wall bars to forest raves.

With their sights always set on the future, Digital Felon Recordings looks forward to the music they will begin releasing digitally and eventually on vinyl. Stay tuned for releases from our artists as well as some of your favorite producers from across the world.
