On Saturday, August 28th, I will play in Houston, Texas at the infamous Gritsy party. Also coming from Miami are Juan Basshead and Jumanji. I am really excited to play out of state and even more excited to play in their sound system, which is an intimidating wall of 15 dual sub cabinets, which comes to 30 18″ subs? Stateside DrumNBass, Jungle and now Dubstep have been touched by the hands of Raoul Gonzalez, aka 6Blocc, aka Bboy 3000 aka R.A.W. The California based DJ, producer, turntablist, label owner and iconic bass music mogul will be making an appearance at Get Some, a weekly bass party at the Electric Pickle in Miami, Florida. No matter which name Raoul is using to express himself, dance floors are always left devastated.

About 5 years ago I heard a mix called “Paul Rose’s Dubstep Breaks”. At that time I was listening strictly to DNB and IDM and the word “dubstep” hadn’t made it’s way to people’s lips yet. This was the first I’d hear of dubstep, and my interest was sparked, launching an all out investigation into this new world.
Shortly after Paul Rose became known as Scuba and rose in popularity, parallel to the dubstep phenomenon. His label, Hot Flush Recordings, is one of the cornerstones of the house of dubstep, focusing on the deeper, more lush sides of the spectrum.
Along with DJ’s: Ashworth, Somejerk, Gray Ghost, Munkz , Claro, Gooddroid.
